Postby Grunt » Thu Mar 11, 2010 9:37 am

See on the Confitpro website there is a run out price on Taylor Vector VS, they say this bowls will become discontinued and the name dropped in favor of a new bowl and name to be introduced to their range shortly

Any news on the new bowl?

It's apparent going to be called the Redline .. (I can't remember the two letters).

Taylor, and the Australian stockist, are getting annoyed that people are buying their products over in the UK, then asking for service back in Australia.

Redline SR's they have been around for a couple of years now.....these are not available for purchase in the UK.

There are a few distributors in Australia, so not sure who is getting upset.

No The Redline SR are still going to be made for Australia. They are renaming the Vector VS to Redline VR or something like that.

I can understand that from a marketing point of view. From past experiences people tend to cringe at the name Vector. If they can go to Redline with a couple of different initials this would at least get people having a look at them.

Yep that makes sense, why would you pay $650+ for Vectors out here in Australia when you can buy the exactly the same bowl in the UK and ship it to Ausrtalia for for less than $350 AUD.

Obviously the personal importing and the real money saving by some smart bowlers is making some distributors / manufacturers try new methods of sucking bucks from us and protect their over inflated prices.

The middle range price for coloured Vector Vs from a distributor in the UK is 167 GBP converted to AUD is $276.93. Dont know about you but there seems to be a HUGE difference in prcie and UK fright is very economicaly priced.

So many dramlines are going from here to the UK and back again because the saving to be made is huge. Bet expensalite will change their name of the Dreamline in the UK to combat the same problem.

So if the Vector Vs does get a Redline name would it be a Radline XWL - exra wide line
